Job Summary:
We are looking for a highly skilled Solution Architect (IP & Core Networks) to design and oversee the implementation of end-to-end IP and core network solutions. This role requires a deep understanding of IP/MPLS, mobile core networks (3G/4G/5G), and the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions. The ideal candidate will work closely with engineering, operations, and commercial teams to ensure robust, scalable, and future-ready network infrastructures.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and architect IP and Core Network solutions, including IP/MPLS, packet core, mobile gateways (SGSN/GGSN, MME, SGW/PGW, AMF/SMF), and cloud-native 5G core architectures.
Develop high-level and low-level solution designs, technical documentation, and integration strategies.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to capture business and technical requirements and translate them into network solutions.
Lead technical discussions with vendors and partners during solution evaluation, design, and deployment phases.
Ensure proposed solutions align with company standards, security policies, and long-term network evolution.
Evaluate emerging technologies (e.g., SDN, NFV, cloud-native functions) and provide guidance on adoption strategy.
Support the transition from legacy to next-generation core networks, ensuring service continuity and minimal disruption.
Act as a subject matter expert in IP routing, transport, and mobile core domains.
Provide technical leadership during project delivery, from concept through implementation.
Conduct performance and capacity analysis, identifying areas of improvement and optimization.
Required Skills & Experience:
Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Telecommunications, Computer Science, or related field.
Minimum 5–8 years of experience in IP networking and mobile core network design and architecture.
Strong knowledge of IP protocols (BGP, OSPF, IS-IS, MPLS, Segment Routing, QoS, etc.).
Deep understanding of 3G/4G/5G core network architecture and protocols (Diameter, GTP, SCTP, etc.).
Experience with vendor solutions (e.g., Cisco, Juniper, Ericsson, Nokia, Huawei) in IP/MPLS and packet core domains.
Familiarity with virtualization (VMware, OpenStack), container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes), and cloud-native network functions (CNFs).
Experience in designing high-availability, scalable, and secure network solutions.
Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Industry certifications (e.g., CCNP/CCIE, JNCIP/JNCIE) are an added advantage.
