Job Summary:
The Senior GIS Analyst will liaise with cross-functional internal teams contributing GIS knowledge in designing specifications and delivering user training. The Senior GIS Analyst will also represent the organisation’s whole range of GIS solutions to new and existing customers.
- GIS analytics and insights, use spatial data and innovative techniques to solve complex challenges, supporting informed decision-making
- Use tools like GIS and Excel for data analysis and visualization for report development
- Identify trends and patterns in complex spatial and atmospheric data sets to support reporting insights
- Develop, improve, and implement GIS applications using the latest GIS tools and other emerging technologies
- Working with Data & Analytics Team on business intelligence initiatives, reporting and trend analysis to support the delivery of GIS solutions
- Provide GIS mapping, including regular updates to established map layers and the development of new layers to support operations
- Promote GIS solutions across the alliance
- Work with external suppliers to integrate new technologies and optimise GIS capabilities
Requirements:
- Min 5 years’ experience in GIS domain, hands-on experience with ArcGIS Online and a strong understanding of geospatial analytics
- Ability to engage stakeholders, explain GIS solutions to a variety of audiences
- Experience using SQL
- Experience with Power BI, including building reports in Power BI Desktop and managing them in Power BI service
- Proficiency in using, editing, and creating within the ArcGIS environment
